Healthcare Data & Analytics VP Investment Strategy Lead

Mackenzie Stuart are partnered with an alternative asset manager with a diversified real assets platform is looking for a Vice President of Data and Analytics to build and own its healthcare sector coverage. This person will sit at the intersection of investment strategy and market intelligence, working across deal teams, portfolio management, and investor relations to sharpen the firm's competitive edge in healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the firm's strategic outlook on healthcare investment opportunities and translating demographic, regulatory, and utilization trends into concrete investment themes.
• Support transactions by stress-testing operating assumptions, modeling reimbursement and labor cost sensitivities, and producing clear investment committee materials that articulate thesis, risk, and return scenarios.
• Collaborate with an in-house analytics team to build forecasting tools and market selection frameworks using alternative data sources including clinical utilization, mobility, and policy data.
• Evaluate operating partners and care delivery platforms, assessing organizational scalability, financial structure, and performance against benchmarks to inform both underwriting and ongoing asset management.
• Represent the firm's healthcare investment perspective externally through research publications, LP communications, and industry events; contribute directly to fundraising narratives and new product development.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in investment research or strategy, with substantial experience covering healthcare assets across the risk spectrum from stabilized income to value-add and development.
• Demonstrated knowledge of care delivery economics including occupancy dynamics, operator margin structures, reimbursement frameworks, and labor market pressures.
• Quantitatively oriented with experience applying analytical tools to investment problems; familiarity with spatial analytics, large datasets, and emerging data science applications.
• Strong written and verbal communicator with a history of producing institutional-quality research and presenting to sophisticated audiences including LPs and investment committees.
• Track record of leading small teams and developing junior talent in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
