Oncology Office Practice Nurse The Oncology Office Practice Nurse has clinical nursing expertise in cancer and functions as a member of the multidisciplinary team. She/he is a clinical resource, advocate, and educator who works with the goal of helping patients, families, and caregivers overcome health care system barriers and facilitates timely access to treatment. You are responsible for ensuring all patients with a cancer diagnosis receive quality and comprehensive services and will serve as resource to the oncology provider team. The Nurse Navigator coordinates patient care throughout the cancer continuum, and serves as a clinical resource with expertise in cancer care management and is a liaison within the facility and to the community. The Oncology Office Practice Nurse is present in the medical oncology clinic as a vital member of the oncology care team. What you will bring Preferred three years' direct patient care experience in oncology. Experience with Hematological Malignancies and Cellular Therapy (BMT, BiTE, & CAR‑T) Current District of Columbia licensure or eligibility. Minimum Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school. Certification from the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Program (ONCC) or other cancer specific nursing certification. If not certified, obtain within 12 months of hire. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
