Staff Tech, Engineering Project Assistant (EPA) (Onsite)

About the Role Candies duty is to assist hardware engineers and lab technicians with administrative, documentation, process, and general engineering related support activities at the EPA. The candidate will support several engineers and provide a wide variety of administrative and computer skills to assist engineering projects. Responsibilities Order and receive materials and supplies needed for the lab, not for repair units. Handle chemical ordering. Participate in meetings and tasks as needed. Oversee and track preventive maintenance of SensorPac lab equipment, ensuring operational readiness and minimizing downtime. Perform equipment calibration, including submitting purchase requests, scheduling calibration, collecting equipment age, monitoring recall lists, and disposing material. Track material stock and monitor the availability of sensitive material and levels. Prioritize material orders and work based on need. Communicate with VSL / RCF for preventative maintenance. Manage system, complete preventive maintenance records, and record external preventive maintenance. Monitor the ESAT plan and complete it as required. Qualifications Must Have Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post‑high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Active and transferable secret U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to start date. Preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Office 365 Outlook. Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, DOORs, SharePoint. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and detail‑oriented skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively on teams. Ability to receive work from peers, engineers, and managers, retain information quickly, and act as a proactive self‑starter.
