About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for its inpatient rehabilitation facility. The CNO will serve as the nursing executive and a key member of the senior leadership team, with a primary focus on nursing practice, quality, staffing, and patient outcomes. This role involves close collaboration with medical, clinical, and therapy disciplines to maintain a patient-focused, team-oriented culture and to ensure strong functional outcomes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining patient care programs, policies, and procedures, as well as representing nursing on various committees. The CNO will also be tasked with implementing and upholding various standards, preparing the department for regulatory surveys, and providing 24-hour accountability for nursing operations. Applicants for the CNO position at the company's inpatient rehabilitation facility must have a current RN license, a BSN, and a Master's degree. A commitment to obtaining CRRN certification within one year is required. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' of experience in an inpatient hospital setting, with a minimum of 2 years' in nursing management. Hospital experience is essential, and a background in SNF is considered only when combined with hospital experience. The CNO should have a proven track record of leading through regulatory surveys and quality improvement, and a Director-level or above position is preferred. The role also involves leading and developing a team of 10 direct reports, so strong leadership and management skills are a must.
