Throughnineprogram divisions,including classical, jazz,string, brass,and symphonic band ensembles,as well as Tune Up Philly, a free, community-based music education program, PYOMI inspiresover 1,000students with character, discipline, commitment, and community through music. Job Summary :The Part-Time Marketing & Communications Specialist supports the execution of PYOMI’s marketing strategy through brand storytelling, content creation, graphic design,anddigitalcommunications. Working closely with the Director of Marketing & Communications, this role creates compelling marketing materialsto bring PYOMI’s concerts, programs, and community impacttolife across multiple platforms. Duties&Responsibilities Design marketing materials including social media graphicsand reels,digital advertisements, flyers,concert programs,email graphics,merch,and other promotional assets. Identifyand supportstorytelling initiatives featuring students, faculty, alumni,patrons, performances, andbehind-the-scenes experiences. Assistwith photo and video capture at rehearsals, concerts, andspecial events. Coordinate and publish content across PYOMI’s digital platforms, includingemail, social, website, online event calendars,venueand partner websites. Maintain accuracy and consistency of information across all digital platforms. Assistwith scheduling andmaintainingthe organization’s content calendar. Coordinatethe Student Social Media Council, including meeting support, content collection, and student contributor communications. Assist the Director of Marketing & Communications with media and community outreach efforts. Assistwith partner marketing needs, including providing approved assets and event information. Administrative & Department Support Maintain organized marketing files, calendars, and project trackers. Track invoicesandassistwith basic administration. Support coordination of marketing deadlines and deliverables. Assistwith other department projects as needed. Qualifications 2+years of experience in marketing, communications, graphic design, social media, or related fields preferred. Strong written and visual communication skills. Experience using tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite,WordPress, Social Schedulers,Ticketing Software, Mailchimp, andShopifya plus. Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing practices. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Interest in music, education, or nonprofit organizations preferred. Education Level : Minimum high school diploma; college degree preferred. Employment Status : Part-time hourly employee, up to 25 hours per week on site in the office and/or at events. Compensation : $20 per hour. No employee benefits are extended.
