Position Summary:

Founded in 1997, Gresham Partners, LLC is a $13.8 billion Chicago-based investment and wealth management firm serving a select group of ultra-high-net-worth families across the country. The firm is known for its independent thinking, investment approach, and performance results. We are committed to providing superior investment performance by utilizing select, difficult-to-access managers in a full range of asset classes that are located globally. We make these managers available to our clients through pooled investment limited partnerships. We integrate this investment approach with client-specific wealth planning strategies and other personalized wealth management services. The Client Service Associate position is located in Chicago.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for working with Gresham’s Client Advisors to deliver Gresham’s wealth management services to sophisticated UHNW families and delivering Gresham’s overall service offering. Fulfilling these responsibilities will involve:

  • Organize and prepare materials for regular client meetings that occur 2-4 times per year
  • Attend and participate in all Chicago area (and possibly out of town) client meetings and prepare the follow-up letter and action lists associated with each client meeting
  • Monitor and implement client-agreed action items, which most importantly requires working directly with clients to ensure proper execution of all investment documents
  • Review quarterly client reporting package and participate in quarterly calls with the client to review the materials
  • Assist in the development and implementation of customized asset allocation and wealth transfer strategies for the client
  • Work with the client’s outsourced tax, legal and other experts to help facilitate tax, wealth transfer, and philanthropic planning goals
  • Assist in the preparation of new business development presentations
  • Participate in other internal firm initiatives

Qualifications

Successful candidates will possess the following key skills and abilities:

  • A strong commitment to provide exceptional client service in our energetic, disciplined, and team-oriented environment
  • Consistently high attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, and execution
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills
  • Demonstrated strength in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
  • Familiar with various investment asset classes and basic investment concepts, including alternative investments
  • Ability to live and work in the U.S., Gresham Partners is not able to sponsor Visas for this position

Experience Level

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least three years of financial planning, family office, tax, or investment working experience with high net worth families
  • CPA, CFP or MBA is a plus
