Enjoy flexible work arrangements and professional growth opportunities.Job DescriptionForward Deployed Engineer OverviewThe Forward Deployed Engineer role focuses on developing data-driven applications and analytical capabilities for mission-critical government programs.Collaborate with senior engineers, technical teams, and stakeholders to design, test, and deploy new capabilities.Contribute throughout the development lifecycle, translating requirements into technical solutions and delivering production-ready features.Operate in a fast-paced, collaborative environment that values ownership, communication, and innovation.Leverage cutting-edge tools and methodologies to create reliable, scalable, and impactful software solutions.Gain exposure to government, defense, and classified programs, enhancing your technical and domain expertise.Enjoy professional growth opportunities, flexible work arrangements, and recognition programs.Forward Deployed Engineer Key Responsibilities & DutiesDevelop analytical dashboards and user-facing applications using advanced application layers.Build and maintain data pipelines, transformations, and metrics within the platform.Support CI/CD processes, including automated testing and deployment workflows.Apply ontology concepts to create consistent and reusable data-driven functionality.Translate technical requirements into well-designed software features and write clean, maintainable code.Perform functional testing, data validation, and troubleshooting to ensure application reliability.Identify technical risks and blockers, collaborating with senior engineers for resolution.Participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and demonstrations.Create and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and project artifacts.Forward Deployed Engineer Job RequirementsBachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant field.Minimum 2 years of professional software engineering experience, with 5 years preferred.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.Experience with Palantir Foundry, including Workshop/Slate, pipelines, and Ontology.Familiarity with cloud-based environments for application or data solution development.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.Comfortable working in a small, collaborative, and fast-paced engineering environment.Ability to work effectively with senior technical personnel and cross-functional teams.Experience supporting government, defense, or classified programs is a plus.
