Our organization is looking for a PRN Critical Care Physician to join our Critical Care Medicine program, which is part of the academic medical practice affiliated with a prominent medical school. This role offers flexibility, making it an excellent fit for physicians seeking part-time or supplementary clinical opportunities. Preference will be given to those interested in overnight shifts and candidates with training or experience in Sleep Medicine.

The selected physician will deliver exceptional critical care services in partnership with a multidisciplinary team, while also contributing to the educational mission of the medical school.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient critical care coverage in adult intensive care units as needed
• Assist with overnight and weekend coverage requirements
• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients who are critically ill
• Work collaboratively with advanced practice providers, residents, fellows, nursing staff, and consulting teams
• Engage in multidisciplinary rounds and coordinate patient care
• Support the education and supervision of residents and fellows when applicable
• Ensure timely and accurate medical documentation

Desired Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Critical Care Medicine
• Pulmonary/Critical Care specialists are encouraged to apply
• Fellowship training or board certification in Sleep Medicine is preferred
• Interest in night shifts and flexible scheduling is a plus
• Must be eligible for medical licensure in Missouri and DEA registration
