Reporting to the Nursing Manager, you'll use the full nursing process assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to deliver safe, high-quality care to patients and their families. This is more than a role; it's a chance to be the steady hand, the calm voice, and the advocate patients need most. What You'll Do

• Deliver safe, evidence-based care tailored to patients of all ages in the Special Care Unit.
• Create, implement, and adjust individualized plans of care for patients and their families.
• Supervise, mentor, and delegate responsibilities to support staff, ensuring excellent team-based care.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary partners to achieve the best outcomes.
• Educate patients and families, empowering them to understand and participate in their care.
• Document care plans and patient progress clearly and accurately.
• Stay current with continuing education, safety protocols, and professional competencies.
• Support staff development through preceptorship and mentoring.
• Actively contribute to unit and hospital projects focused on improving patient care.

What You Bring

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required within 90 days of hire for experienced RNs; within 6 months for new grads.
• Medical/Surgical and ICU/CCU experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Comfort with computers and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
