Job Details Title: Asst Dir-Modeling Services Employer: Moody’s Analytics, Inc. Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 Responsibilities Lead and execute complex training and projects that span a variety of Moody’s software and catastrophe models, ranging from SaaS applications on the Moody’s Intelligence Risk Platform to newly released High‑Definition models, such as the United States Severe Convective Storm HD model. Develop and deliver training that equips users with how to derive maximum value from Moody's catastrophe modeling software, detailing model methodology, critical assumptions, data sources, input preparation techniques, model settings, and output demonstration. Assist users in performing detailed model evaluations that allow entities to form their own view of risk for insurance/reinsurance pricing and capital adequacy, answering methodologic questions, suggesting efficient techniques for model analytics, and liaising with internal experts to justify the model’s out‑of‑the‑box view of risk. Qualifications Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Climate Science, Environmental Science, or a related field, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as a Modeling Analyst or in a related position working with catastrophe models. Must have experience with: performing financial modeling using catastrophe modeling software; conducting large‑scale data analysis of catastrophe modeling exposure and results; working with data manipulation tools such as R and SQL; and using mapping software such as ArcGIS and QGIS. Domestic and international travel required (approximately 10% of the time). Compensation & Benefits For US‑based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $150,301 to $164,050 per year, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
