Travel RN - Home Health

American Traveler is hiring a Home Health RN with at least 1 year of recent Home Health experience and required OASIS and HCHB proficiency.

Job Details

• Home Health setting covering a territory including Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Moraga, and San Ramon within up to a 60-mile radius,
• Primarily geriatric patient population,
• Patient volume of approximately 30 points per week, or 5-6 points per day,
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM,
• Requires working two weekend days per month,
• No on-call requirements,
• 40 guaranteed hours per week contingent on meeting productivity requirements,
• Holidays and approved RTO are excluded from guaranteed hours,

Job Requirements

• Active CA RN license required in hand,
• Current BLS certification required,
• Minimum 1 year of recent Home Health RN experience required,
• OASIS experience required,
• HCHB (Homecare Homebase) EMR experience required,
• Skilled in wound care and integumentary assessment,
• Experience with medication administration and management, including IM, IV, and subcutaneous routes,
• Phlebotomy and IV starting/maintenance skills required,
• Knowledge of pain assessment and management, including use of pain scales,
• Adherence to infection control precautions required,

• Responsibilities include admission assessments, start of care, recertification, resumption of care, routine visits, and discharge documentation,
• Timely communication and documentation with the care team required,
• Scrubs of any color required; jeans not permitted,
• iPad provided for use; cell phone not provided,
• Mileage reimbursed at the current IRS standard mileage rate,
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Travelers should be flexible with assigned territory within the coverage area
