Operations Technician

Insight Global is seeking a Range Operations Technician in Cedar Creek, Texas. Keeping the Test Range running is physical, outdoor, hands-on work: building and tearing down target arrays, setting instrumentation, hauling and staging materiel, clearing brush and maintaining berms and roads, and running the property like a working ranch that happens to have a live-fire fan on it. Required Skills & Experience High school diploma or GED. Demonstrated competence and comfort handling firearms safely, including familiarity with the four rules of firearms safety and safe muzzle/weapon status discipline. Physically fit and able to work outdoors year-round in Central Texas heat; lift and carry 50 lbs repeatedly, dig, climb, and work extended days during test campaigns. Practical hands-on skills: vehicle and equipment operation, basic mechanical repair, fencing, welding or fabrication basics, and general property maintenance. Valid Texas driver's license with a clean record and the ability to tow trailers; must be able to obtain a HAZMAT endorsement within 6 months. Must pass a background check and not be a prohibited person under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g); able to work around energetic materials under ATF rules. Nice to Have Skills & Experience U.S. Army Combat Engineers (12B), particularly those with Sapper Leader Course training.
