Corporate Protection Officer

We’re building a relationship‑oriented bank for the modern world. Responsibilities Follow all aspects of the CIBC Code of Conduct, policies, frameworks, guidelines, processes, and controls. Act in accordance with our Purpose and shared values to achieve the bank’s strategic goals. Understand and follow the qualitative and quantitative components of our Risk Appetite Statements. Complete all required Corporate Mandatory Training and Testing modules and apply the learnings daily. Escalate matters through the appropriate channels (HR, management, Ethics Hotline, Whistleblower, etc.) when observing activities inconsistent with CIBC’s policies. Speak up if witnessing behaviors that drive poor or unfair outcomes for clients, team members, or other stakeholders. Monitor and preserve the safety and security of bank employees, clients, visitors, and stored property. Act as a visible and approachable Corporate Security Protection Officer (CSPO), ensuring clear identification while blending into the business environment. Perform periodic patrols of all bank spaces, remaining alert for irregularities such as security breaches, unauthorized access, tailgating, and other potential threats. Exercise discretion in controlling access to secured spaces, ensuring only authorized or properly vetted individuals are allowed entry. Provide timely response and appropriate use of force, proportionate to perceived threat, to terminate or mitigate any security incidents. Qualifications 10+ years of prior law enforcement experience. Ability to work full‑time on site. Strong communication skills, including the ability to report and document incidents accurately. \lli> Valid legal eligibility to work in the specified location. Benefits & Compensation Salary range: $58,000.00 – $63,000.00 for the Chicago market (based on experience, qualifications, and location). Eligibility to participate in the business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may include a discretionary bonus component.
