Travel Radiation Therapist

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with ARRT certification for a hospital oncology department utilizing advanced treatment modalities including IMRT, SBRT, and IGRT. Requirements Active NJ license required if applicable ARRT certified and registered Successful completion of an approved course in Radiation Therapy Experience with IMRT, 3D, SRS, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT strongly preferred Ability to properly operate treatment units with minimal supervision Knowledge of correct body mechanics and use of equipment such as slide boards and ceiling lifts Responsibilities Hospital Radiation Oncology department setting Day shift schedule, 8am-4pm Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week May be required to float to a sister hospital nearby as needed No on-call requirements Uses IMRT, 3D, SRS, SBRT, CBCT, and Align RT technologies Uses EPIC for electronic charting Uses MOSAIQ for daily treatment management and record verification Accurately deliver planned radiation therapy treatments while maintaining visual and audible communication with patients Perform daily linac and CT QA as well as monthly CT QA CT/simulate patients following department and site-specific protocols, including construction of immobilization devices and use of IV contrast when needed Perform respiratory gating, AcQ sim, and SBRT simulation procedures Construct electron and cerrobend blocks as needed Train other therapists in CT/simulation duties including respiratory gating, QA, and mould room procedures Attend weekly chart rounds and maintain accurate treatment records Operate CT on rails for IGRT delivery across all treatment sites Follow department dress code and all safety standards, including ALARA principles for radiation protection Report equipment malfunctions promptly to appropriate personnel Local candidates accepted Background check and drug screen results required, with turnaround time of at least two weeks Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr
