Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity as a Special Education Teacher supporting students on a 1:1 basis for the 2026-2027 school year. Located on-site near Orange Park, FL, this role welcomes travel professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in the Jacksonville area. As an integral part of the educational team, you’ll deliver personalized instruction, collaborate with fellow educators, and help shape positive outcomes for your student.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
- Active Florida Special Education Teaching certification (required for interview consideration)
- Proven background in individualized instruction within a school setting
- Experience working 1:1 with students requiring specialized support
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in meeting diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student goals
- Offer direct instruction and support for academic, behavioral, and social development
- Employ evidence-based strategies to address specific learning needs
- Foster open collaboration with classroom teachers, therapists, and parents
- Document progress, maintain records, and comply with all educational standards
- Support transition planning and promote student independence
