Senior Property Accountant (Hybrid | Real Estate | $90K)

A well-established, employee-owned organization is seeking an experienced Senior Property Accountant to join its team in a newly created role . This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking for meaningful responsibility, exposure to real estate, and the opportunity to work closely with property management and clients. What You'll Do Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements and supporting schedules for a portfolio of commercial and multifamily properties. Complete bank, mortgage escrow, and balance sheet reconciliations and research unusual or complex items. Prepare journal entries, including accruals, depreciation, and amortization. Monitor cash flow, accounts payable, owner distributions, and monthly management fees. Develop short- and long-term cash forecasts to support liquidity and distribution planning. Assist with year-end audit and tax reporting. Support the accounting transition of newly added properties and coordinate the transfer of financial and vendor information. Work closely with property management, accounting teams, owners, and asset managers. Assist with special projects and help train and support other accounting team members. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. Strong GAAP and financial reporting knowledge. Experience with financial statements, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounting. Real estate or property management experience is strongly preferred. Public accounting professionals with significant real estate client exposure are encouraged to apply. Experience with cash forecasting or financial planning. Advanced Excel skills. Strong communication, organization, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal teams and clients. Experience with MRI or Yardi is a plus. CPA is preferred but not required.
