What You’ll Do Drive engineering projects to completion, focusing on business impact and prioritizing tasks to deliver on goals with urgency. Execute new ideas quickly and effectively on the backend while acting as a resource to other teams and engineers. When necessary, solve tough technical problems at any level of the stack and persistently reach solutions. Work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams such as Product and Design to plan and execute engineering projects. Lead small teams of engineers on large projects. In order to be successful, you must bring Minimum of 5+ years of experience in software engineering. Fluency in at least one major programming language and the ability to switch between multiple languages; we use Go, Python, PHP, Swift, Kotlin, and Java. Solid experience building software on top of relational databases such as Postgres or MySQL. Ability to write high‑quality, maintainable, testable code. Curiosity, data‑driven mindset, and strong problem‑solving skills—breaking down complex problems and navigating trade‑offs. Experience leveraging AI coding‑agents to deliver production software. Experience supporting and maintaining production software platforms. Expected salary ranges For candidates living in San Francisco / Bay Area, San Jose, New York City, or Seattle metros, the expected salary range for the role is currently $210,800.00 – $272,800.00. For candidates living in Austin, TX or Washington DC metros or in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, or Washington states, the expected salary range is $189,600.00 – $245,300.00.
