Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Schedule Varies)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on an acute surgical unit serving general surgery, colo-rectal, bariatric, and plastic surgery patients
• Monitor and assess post-surgical patients, identifying and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation throughout each shift
• Fulfill holiday coverage requirements, including 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical/Surgical nursing
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a surgical specialty such as bariatric, colo-rectal, or plastic surgery
• Familiarity with post-operative care protocols and surgical patient management
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills in a fast-paced acute care environment
