Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Control System Engineer to support the design, development, integration, commissioning, and troubleshooting of industrial and power-generation control systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience with PLC, HMI/SCADA, process control, electrical systems, and industrial automation , along with the ability to work on complex control-system projects from design through commissioning and startup.
This position will work closely with engineering, project, and field teams to develop reliable control solutions, integrate equipment and electrical systems, troubleshoot existing installations, and support customers during commissioning and startup activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop industrial automation and process control systems for power and industrial applications.
- Develop control strategies, system architectures, control logic, and functional specifications.
- Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and related control platforms .
- Integrate control systems with instrumentation, switchgear, generators, electrical equipment, and plant systems.
- Review and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, control narratives, and system specifications .
- Perform system integration, testing, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting activities.
- Diagnose complex hardware, software, communication, and networking issues.
- Support upgrades, migrations, modifications, and optimization of existing control systems.
- Develop technical documentation, test procedures, commissioning procedures, and system specifications.
- Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop effective engineering solutions.
- Provide technical support to customers and field teams during installation and startup.
- Ensure projects meet applicable industry standards, safety requirements, schedules, and budgets.
- Travel to customer and project sites as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control/Automation Engineering, Systems Engineering , or a related technical field.
- Strong experience in Control Systems Engineering, Industrial Automation, or Process Control .
- Hands-on experience with PLC programming and configuration .
- Experience with HMI/SCADA or DCS platforms .
- Experience with platforms such as Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider , or similar.
- Strong understanding of electrical and control-system integration.
- Experience troubleshooting complex automation and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and control narratives .
- Experience with commissioning, startup, testing, and field troubleshooting .
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as with engineering and project teams.
- Ability and willingness to work safely at industrial/customer sites.
