Job Description and Duties

Under the direction of the Special Agent-In-Charge, Office of Internal Affairs (OIA) and indirect supervision of the Chief of OIA, the Senior Special Agent manages and directs the day-to-day activities of the assigned Special Agents. The Senior Special Agent provides daily assistance to the Special Agents relative to investigations concerning employee misconduct. Interprets and carries out Department policies in the enforcement of administrative and criminal law.

The California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation (CDCR) Headquarters has implemented a new automated system to streamline the hiring process. The Human Resources Technology System (HRTS) is an intuitive, user-friendly system that provides the applicant access to real-time updates throughout the hiring process. Working Conditions

The position(s) is eligible for hybrid telework, in accordance with the Statewide Telework Policy and will be required to report to the office as needed/required. The successful candidate must reside in California upon appointment.

Regular and consistent attendance is critical to the successful performance of this position. You must be regularly available and willing to work the hours necessary to meet business needs.
