Associate Child Care Teacher

Overview: Join a dedicated team supporting the developmental and care needs of young children in a nurturing childcare center located in the Southeastern United States. This role assists the lead teacher in delivering a high-quality program that fosters growth and learning in a safe, clean environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in implementing curriculum and daily learning activities for individuals and groups.
- Engage positively with children, serving as a role model and ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with curriculum planning and preparation of materials.
- Follow established center procedures such as diaper changing, emergency protocols, and daily schedules independently.
- Participate in parent involvement initiatives including newsletters, conferences, and meetings.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy learning environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of Early Childhood Development coursework (minimum 6 additional hours) from an accredited institution.
- Out-of-state coursework must be reviewed by the appropriate state division of childhood development.
- Certification in Heartsaver First Aid, CPR, and AED from the American Heart Association is required.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in a childcare or elementary school setting.
- Understanding of physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children from birth to five years.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to observe and respond to children's needs effectively.
- Ability to perform activities including walking, standing, and lifting children and various objects.
