Instructional Designer

The Instructional Designer collaborates with faculty and Learning Design & Development (LD&D) team members to design, develop, and continuously improve learner-centered educational experiences across online, hybrid, and face-to-face modalities. Applies learning experience design (LXD), instructional design best practices, AI-assisted tools, and learning analytics to ensure high-quality, accessible, and outcomes-driven courses aligned with SoPA workflows, QA standards, and term readiness processes. Responsibilities Learning experience design and learner-centered practices LMS and educational technologies (Canvas, Zoom, etc.) Multimedia and digital content development Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles and standards Accessibility standards (WCAG) Data-informed decision making and learning analytics Collaboration and project management skills Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills Ability to manage multiple concurrent course development projects and meet term-based production timelines in a collaborative academic environment Qualifications REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or related field. 2 years of experience supporting online or blended course development and LMS platforms (Canvas preferred).
