Phlebotomist Float

Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Silver Spring, MD and surrounding areas. Work Schedule: Monday -- Friday, 7:00 am - 9:00 pm (hours vary); 2 Saturdays per month. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, and other clinical analyses. Enter patient data accurately and promptly in the system. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as required. Carry out any other duties assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or 3 months or more experience as a phlebotomist. Preferred Qualifications 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience. Additional Job Standards In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet the requirements. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a standardized color-blindness test. Valid driver's license and clean driving record with reliable transportation. Legal age of 21 years or older. Travel to additional sites. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19; proof of vaccination or applicable accommodations required. Compensation & Incentives Sign-on Bonus: $1,500 (external applicants only). Hourly Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour. Float Incentive: Additional $1.00 per hour plus mileage reimbursement. Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision. Life, STD/LTD insurance. 401(k) retirement plan.
