Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images of the body.
• Explain procedures to patients, position and immobilize patients on the exam table, and observe during the scan under direction of the physician.
• Review and evaluate computer-generated information to determine if images meet diagnostic quality standards.
• Apply MRI safety measures and use protection devices to ensure patient and staff safety.
• Support image quality control processes and assist with image transfer and documentation as directed.

Requirements

• Active MRI technologist credential recognized in the US (e.g., ARRT MRI) or eligibility to obtain one.
• Ability to work a rotating schedule and adapt to varying days.
• Strong patient communication skills and proficiency in patient positioning and immobilization.
• Knowledge of MRI safety practices and use of protection devices.
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and follow physician directions.
