Intake Specialist

About the Role Our Enteral Department is seeking a Temporary Intake Specialist to support a high volume of incoming orders and ensure timely, accurate processing. This role plays an important part in maintaining smooth operations and delivering exceptional service to patients during a period of increased workload. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to providing a positive patient experience while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Responsibilities Communicate with patients to understand and confirm their enteral supply needs. Answer inbound phone calls and provide responsive, patient-focused support. Contact patients to coordinate and process supply reorders. Assist with order intake, documentation, and workflow management to ensure timely processing. Maintain accurate patient and order records. Follow department procedures to support compliance, quality, and service standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient order processing and customer satisfaction. Qualifications Strong verbal communication skills and a patient-centered approach. Ability to manage a high volume of calls and tasks with accuracy and professionalism. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple priorities. Experience in healthcare, customer service, call center, or order processing environments preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Berlin, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
