Requires decisive judgment. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Description: 225-bed specialty care hospital. Offers a Heart & Vascular Institute, Cancer Center, Brain & Spine services, Rehab, Behavioral Health, Digestive Health, Bariatric Medicine & Weight Management, Women's Health, and Pediatrics. Region's premier imaging, surgery, and laboratory services. Located in the central region of Michigan's upper peninsula. Largest community in the peninsula. Home to a university. Unit information: Number of beds available: 225. Patient ratios: 5:1 to 6:1. Available equipment includes telemetry monitors, IV pumps, bladder scanners, and EHR systems. Patient population includes adult and geriatric patients aged 18 to 125. Preferred experience on a medical/surgical unit. Common diagnoses and treatments relevant to the unit. Dress code: Scrub color is Galaxy Blue (Navy is also acceptable). Fingernails should be kept clean and should not be excessive in length. Must comply with the hand hygiene policy. Tattoos must be covered if considered offensive. Excessive jewelry is not permitted. Position created for contractor replacement.
