Network EngineerPCI is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join our Technical Operations team. This is a highly accountable, client-facing role responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and continuously improving network environments across a multi-tenant managed services model.We are looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a builder mindset, and the ability to create scalable, repeatable solutions across diverse client environments. Responsibilities include:Designing and implementing LAN, WAN, wireless, segmentation, and hybrid-cloud network solutionsSupporting and optimizing firewalls, switches, wireless platforms, VPNs, and secure remote access toolsTroubleshooting network performance issues including routing, DNS, latency, and packet lossManaging escalated incidents and driving issues through resolution with clear communication and follow-throughDeveloping network standards, templates, runbooks, and documentation to improve consistency and scaleSupporting onboarding, infrastructure changes, upgrades, lifecycle planning, and long-term supportabilityPartnering with internal teams and clients to align technical solutions with business needsIdentifying opportunities to improve existing environments and drive standardization where appropriateParticipating in a rotating after-hours support and maintenance scheduleRequired Qualifications:Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, wireless, and firewall conceptsExperience with network security platforms and readiness to work within standard firewall technologies, such as Palo Alto and SophosAbility to work independently, make sound technical decisions, and own issues through completionStrong troubleshooting, communication, and client-facing skillsRelevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, PCNSE, Azure Network Engineer Associate, or equivalent practical expertisePreferred Qualifications:Experience designing, implementing, and supporting network solutions across multiple client environments, ideally in an MSP or fast-paced service modelExperience with Azure networking, VPN Gateway, and hybrid connectivityFamiliarity with monitoring and visibility tools such as AuvikExposure to Microsoft 365 and hybrid identity environmentsExperience with scripting, automation, APIs, or templating to improve repeatability and scaleBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience consideredWhat Sets You Apart:You take ownership and follow throughYou think beyond one-off fixes and build for scaleYou communicate proactively and professionallyYou enjoy learning new technologies and applying them in practical waysYou balance standards with flexibility while keeping supportability and client outcomes in focusRole Details:FLSA Category: Exempt, full-timeSupervisory Responsibilities: NoneLocation: Buffalo, NY (hybrid)Work Environment: Professional office and IT environment, with occasional travel to client sites for on-site support and deploymentsOther Expectations: Reliable high-speed internet and a smartphone are required for authentication and on-call supportCompensation Range: $85,000 - $110,000 annual salary
