Senior QA Automation Engineer - Hybrid

QA Test Automation LeadGenesis10 is currently seeking a QA Test Automation Lead for a contract-to-hire position with a Regional Financial Institution located in Columbus, OH. This is a 3+ month contract-to-hire opportunity that is onsite 3-4 days per week in Columbus, OH. Compensation: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour, W2, based on qualifications.Position Overview:In this role, you will be part of a team working to develop solutions enabling the business to leverage data as an asset. As a QA Test Automation Lead, you will develop automation test strategies and frameworks, ensuring all IT SDLC processes are documented and practiced while working closely with multiple technology teams across the enterprise. Key technologies include COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, JSON, Swagger, zOS Connect, Java/Fuse, SOAP UI/Ready API, Git, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.Key Responsibilities:Lead quality assurance efforts for multiple concurrent projects focused on data publishing and integration, ensuring alignment with banking regulatory standardsDesign, implement, and maintain automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to support scalable and secure operationsDevelop and execute comprehensive test strategies covering System Integration Testing (SIT)Collaborate with data engineers, developers, project managers/scrum masters, and compliance teams to ensure data quality, integrity, and traceability throughout the lifecycleDrive continuous improvement in QA processesDesign and implement a scalable test automation framework and strategyCreate daily/weekly test execution metrics and status reportingAssist the Project Managers/Scrum Masters to drive project team to defect resolutionLeverage existing tools/techniques to streamline and automate wherever possibleActively participate in walk-through, inspection, review and user group meetings for quality assuranceActively participate in the review of project requirements, data mappings and technical design specificationsAnalyze data, troubleshoot data issues, and create action plans to address data quality issuesCollaborate with project team on defect analysis and triageParticipate in production implementation verification and being accountable for validating system qualityPrimary Requirements:Bachelor's degree5+ years of testing experience3+ years of test automation experience2+ years of experience leading QA Analysts on a project teamDesired Skills:Experience in financial services (banking) industryStrong experience with SQL, ETL testingProficiency in test automation tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, PyTest, or DBT testsExperience with cloud data platforms (GCP, AWS)Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps)Excellent verbal and written communications skillsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasksDetail oriented and highly motivated with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skillsOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
