Database Administrator

Job Mission Pacific Lifestyle Homes is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. The Database Administrator is responsible for the Newstar Database, including updates, maintenance, problem resolution, building new options, and coordination with other departments to produce accurate pricing, purchase orders, and reporting. This role works closely with Sales, Construction, Purchasing, and the Design Studio. Responsibilities Administrative Support – Provides administrative support to the Purchasing Director. System Improvement – Reports issues with the database to avoid mistakes and extra work, identifies ways to increase efficiency and reduce time to complete tasks. Teamwork – Supports Divisional purchasing teams. End User Training – Provides training for NSE and NSS when needed. Build and maintain new plans and options in the database, creating takeoffs and retail pricing. Database Support – Provides Newstar support for other departments. Customer Service – Develops and cultivates positive working relationships with internal customers, staff, subcontractors, and vendors. Competencies, Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities 3 to 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience in purchasing and estimating duties; database administrative work experience preferred. Building industry work experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and Newstar. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Purchasing Database programming, preferably Newstar. High School Diploma and applicable administrative work experience; Associate’s degree preferred.
