We are hiring an experienced engineer to join us in developing and deploying DPU-based storage.As a Software Quality Engineer II in the Azure Storage team, you will do the validation of highly scalable, performant services that deliver highly reliable, secure, and available access to storage running on DPU nodes. You will be involved in all phases of the storage lifecycle: design, implementation, test, deployment, and support. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesIdentify the scope of testing to create a complex quality plan for multiple featuresCreate commitments for test plans in multiple features to estimate the scope of work and agree on requirements with some guidance from othersWork with partners across teams by creating test plans for multiple features and contribute efforts to get test plans for a feature reviewed by others (e.g., requirement writers, design architects) Leverage available data to work within multiple features or a broad/complex feature area and identify areas where additional exploration, development, or testing is required. Help build complex custom visualizations to ensure product testing coverageContribute to efforts to apply best practices in automation to create and implement automated testing procedures using scripting languages (e.g., C#, Python). Create automated regression release testing when possibleMaintain and apply automation tools and encouraging team members to apply automation throughout the testing process (e.g., during development). Write code or leverage tools and technology to eliminate repetitive tasks to reduce manual work for multiple featuresQualificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or PythonOR equivalent experienceOther Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,800 - $219,200 per year.
