This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Rotating 4x10 shifts from 06:30 to 17:00, Monday through Friday, with on-call requirements including weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab will provide care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing a variety of interventional procedures. The unit consists of 2 catheterization labs and 1 hybrid operating room, and the nurse will work with advanced equipment such as GE Innova IGS and Phillips. The Cath Lab's services include IABP, Rotablator, Shockwave procedures, Structural heart interventions, TAVR, MitraClip placements, and Watchman procedures. Candidates will utilize the EPIC documentation system, and experience in cath lab/interventional scrubbing is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care before, during, and after interventional procedures.
• Prepare and maintain equipment for cardiac catheterization and other procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and administer medications as directed.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
• Conduct patient education regarding procedures and follow-up care.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in a Cath Lab setting.
• Experience with interventional procedures and scrubbing.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse license in Maryland or compact state.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
