Certified Medication Aide (CMA)
Immediate contract opportunity with our skilled nursing facility in Taneytown, MD. Pay Rate: $25.00/hr Available Work Schedule:
- 7:00am - 3:00pm (Days)
- 3 shifts per week
Contract Details:
- Contract Length: 8 weeks (extension likely)
Job Duties:
- Administer prescribed medications to patients in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
- Display knowledge of side effects, interactions, and nursing implications of common medications.
- Account for controlled drugs each shift and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Charting – routine medications, medication omissions, documentation of PRN medication given with follow up, and any other pertinent observations.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience as a Certified Medicine Aide (CMA)
- Active CNA / GNA certification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- An understanding of medication administration procedures and successful completion of a state approved training course.
