Geospatial Developer

As an experienced, creative Geospatial Developer with proven technical skills and a consultative mindset, you will focus on designing, developing, and implementing complex technical solutions and helping to set future directions in a changing GIS technology world. You will be surrounded by Geospatial Professionals in one of the largest Geospatial Companies in the Industry, working with Agile development best practices to support the Air Force Intelligence Community. Work Environment Location: Scott Air Force Base – Belleville, IL (not a remote position) U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Security Clearance Travel may be required Responsibilities Gather requirements and document application workflows and data flows. Configure solutions using ESRI out-of-the-box technology such as Experience Builder. Design and develop customized ESRI ArcGIS web applications and widgets. Qualifications Required Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Geography/GIS, or related field. 3+ years of experience with web application development, including at least one year developing geospatial mapping/analysis applications in an ESRI environment. Experience configuring and customizing user tools, commands, and interfaces using programming languages, APIs, and techniques. Proficiency in application development services using web development languages (HTML, HTML5, CSS) and scripting languages (Python), and relevant tools and interchange formats (JavaScript, .NET, JSON). Experience with creation and management of map services and web-based content, including REST-based OGC-compliant services and ArcGIS Server. Experience with ESRI installation and configuration, and with map service management. Knowledge of geodatabase platforms such as PostgreSQL and Oracle. Preferred Experience Experience with cloud architectures and technologies (AWS, Docker). Familiarity with standard software development protocols and coding standards. Experience with application documentation including system design and technical specifications. Experience with software lifecycle processes and DevSecOps. Security+ certification preferred. DoD SECRET clearance. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
