Registered Nurse - ICU

ICU Travel-RN Position

The ICU Travel-RN position involves providing specialized nursing care in a busy ICU unit. The role requires delivering high-quality patient care aligned with unit policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients, including those on vents, swans, Impella's, and balloon pumps.
• Perform advanced procedures such as intubation, central line placement, bronchoscopy, ICP monitoring, and swan management.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient status and interventions accurately in the EMR system.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.
• Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and safety protocols, including weekend and on-call shifts when scheduled.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year ICU experience.
• Be certified in BLS and ACLS.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and teamwork skills.
• Have experience with ICU-specific equipment and procedures.
• Patients without ICU experience are not considered; preference given to candidates with Level 1 or 2 trauma and CV surgery experience.
