Material Handler Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $22.00 to $25.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- Weekend work required
- First Shift ( Monday through Friday from 06:00am to 04:30pm )
- Maintain control of finished structural material, including that supplied by customer.
- Pull finished structural steel members from fabrication shops.
- Build loads in a safe and timely manner using check lists.
- Load and unload various types of structural steel components.
- Use material handling equipment, safely and efficiently, to transport products to shipping locations or delivery platforms.
- Report any equipment damage or malfunction to supervisor or maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Material Handler Qualifications:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Capable of operating large forklifts with capacities up to 36,000 pounds.
- Ability to sit and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous certification and demonstrated experience operating sit-down forklifts.
- Proven commitment to workplace safety.
- Attention to detail.
- Function effectively as part of a team.
- Can follow processes and procedures.
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
- Pre-employment drug screen is required as a condition of employment
