This is an exciting opportunity for a Dentist who wants to practice comprehensive dentistry while making a meaningful impact. You'll provide preventive, restorative, and surgical dental care while collaborating with medical, behavioral health, nursing, and other healthcare professionals.This is more than an opportunity to step into an established dental practice. You'll play an important role in the development and continued growth of dental services at Damar, helping shape clinical practices and expand access to high-quality oral healthcare for the individuals and communities we serve.Schedule: Monday-Friday daytime schedule with no weekends and no on-call Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM; Thursday, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM-4:00 PMKey ResponsibilitiesProvide comprehensive preventive, restorative, and surgical dental carePerform procedures including fillings, crowns, bridges, implants, dentures, root canal treatment, tooth extractions, and corrective jaw surgeryAssess patients' oral health needs and develop individualized treatment plansOrder, perform, and interpret diagnostic testing and dental imagingEducate patients and caregivers on recommended treatment, preventive care, and ongoing oral health needsRespond to dental emergencies and provide appropriate treatment, follow-up, and referralsProvide individualized, patient-centered dental care to individuals with diverse medical, behavioral, developmental, and communication needsSupervise and provide clinical oversight to the Dental HygienistCollaborate with medical, behavioral health, nursing, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient careHelp develop and grow Damar's dental services, including clinical workflows, protocols, and standards of careSupport quality improvement efforts focused on clinical quality, patient safety, access to care, and the overall patient experienceQualifications and SkillsRequired:Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited dental education programCurrent, unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of IndianaCurrent DEA registrationBe clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictionsSuccessfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physicalFavorably meet and maintain Damar's background screeningPreferred:Newer dentists are encouraged to apply!
