Hot Stamp Technician-3rd Shift

Capabilities Stamping Hot and conventional stamping (100–800 tons) Multi-location facilities for high-volume production Laser Cutting Multi-axis laser systems for prototyping & production Flat and 3D part cutting, trimming, and hole piercing Versatile with various metals and thicknesses Spot welding for Ultra High Strength Steel & press-hardened parts Highly automated robotic cells for precision and efficiency Focused on quality, speed, and cost reduction Position Summary Set up, test, and occasionally operate automatic hot stamping presses for production. This position is responsible for operating, adjusting, and maintaining presses and tooling while ensuring that quality and safety standards are maintained at all times. Set up and operate stamping presses, ovens, and robotic equipment used in hot stamping metal parts. Prepare equipment for production, monitor operations, and ensure proper equipment functionality. Read work orders, inventory status, and production schedules to confirm setup and operating specifications. Inspect completed parts to verify conformance to specifications using micrometers, gauges, calipers, and other measuring devices. Test and adjust machine speeds and operating parameters according to product specifications using appropriate tools. Adjust robotic loading and unloading processes for hot stamp ovens when required. Set dies and change end-of-arm tooling (EOAT) on robots to switch between production parts. Observe machine operation to ensure equipment is set up and running according to documented instructions. Identify, document, and properly handle non-conforming parts. Properly document and handle scrap materials during and after production. Manage finished products and ensure proper documentation and traceability. Perform routine maintenance such as cleaning, oiling, lubrication, die changes, and EOAT changes. Monitor machine operations and respond quickly to faults or malfunctions. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations and increase efficiency. Assist in the training of other employees as needed. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying opportunities and implementing improvements. Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards. Follow and comply with all GNS safety and quality standards. Demonstrate willingness to learn through classroom training and on-the-job training (OJT). Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The following requirements represent the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for the role. Education and Experience High school diploma or GED preferred. 1+ year of experience operating presses, working with robotic equipment, or similar machine setup/operation or maintenance experience. Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge Basic knowledge of quality control, production processes, materials, and cost reduction principles. Basic knowledge of press operation and manufacturing processes. Proficiency in English reading and writing. Basic mathematical skills. Skills Abilities Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to accurately complete production documentation, reports, and required paperwork. Ability to respond effectively to inquiries or issues in the workplace. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions when needed.
