Heavy Duty Truck Parts Sales Representative

This position is responsible for working with customers directly in person and on the phone, answering their questions, and assisting them with finding the right heavy duty truck part to meet their needs.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Greets all walk in/phone customers, providing excellent customer service.
• Gathers customer and/or product information to determine customer needs.
• Recommends, advises, & assists customer with products based on their needs.
• Processes sales and other transactions, as needed.
• Demonstrates products to customers, explaining technical product/service information.
• Keeps up with all new product development & any changes to relay to customers.
• Answers customer questions as they arise.
• Monitors and cleans work areas as required.
• Arranges services and/or delivery of goods, notifying warehouse/delivery/shop personnel as needed.
• Provides 2nd mile customer service standards in every customer interaction.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent needed. Any further education/experience in Sales field preferred.
• Previous sales experience a plus, but will train right person.
• Should possess strong listening and verbal communication skills.
• Must maintain a positive attitude, with a focus on customer service excellence in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively & prioritize tasks.
• Must have willingness to learn products sold, customer service, policies, procedures, and about the trucking industry as a whole in order to meet customer needs.
• Should be detail-oriented, focused, driven, and a self-starter.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Keyboarding skills a must.

Shift

Full time: Tuesday-Friday: 8am-5pm; Saturday 9am-3pm, alternating.

Working Conditions

Job will include periods of standing, walking, reaching, stooping/kneeling, and bending. Stair climbing and walking on uneven surfaces will also be present. Subject to heat/cold conditions when assisting customers with order delivery. Moderate use of hands and arms will be needed. May be required to lift to 50 lbs.
