We are currently looking for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team forHouston, TX area and surrounding areas.

Title: Occupational Therapist (OT)
Job Summary:
A Licensed Occupational Therapist professional who provides coordinated care topatients, evaluates patients, and restore or maintains patient well-being according to theplan of care

Evaluate and provide a treatment plan for a patient with physical, psycho- social, and/or cognitive impairments
Provide intervention to the deficit and elicit responses
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team
Job Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
Licensure: Current Texas State License as an Occupational Therapist
Experience:
1 year of minimum experience as an Occupational Therapist in Home Healthcare or
Acute care or Rehabilitation setting
Skills:
Therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Proof of current CPR and Hepatitis profile.
Knowledge of durable medical equipment

Spanish is a Plus
Essential Functions:
Perform initial and ongoing clinical assessments to identify patient needs, determine level of function at appropriate time points and the appropriateness of the patient for Homehealth

Develop and revise a plan of care in consultation with the physician and other care teammembers
Provide therapeutic treatments, evaluate need for and use of adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications, fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splintsas applicable
Evaluate outcomes of care with appropriate discharge planning.
Apply concepts of infection control and standard precautions incoordinating/performing patient care activities to prevent contamination andtransmission of disease

Accept clinical assessments that are consistent with education and competence to carefor patients.
Supervise COTA as needed
Complete appropriate documentation in a timely manner
Meet the mandatory continuing education requirements of the agency/license board
Use effective interpersonal relations and communication skills to advise and consultwith the family and other agency personnel as appropriate
Demonstrate commitment, professional growth and competency
Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care
