This role is critical to shaping the future of our global Color portfolio. The successful candidate will bring strong commercial acumen, trend insight, and executional excellence to deliver differentiated, high-impact innovation.The Open Innovation Development Manager - EU Face & Eyes is responsible for identifying, developing, and executing new product concepts, trend-lead innovations, and strategic initiatives across Coty’s assigned Consumer Beauty color categories (Face & Eyes). This individual will lead portfolio strategy, identify growth opportunities, and partner cross-functionally to deliver profitable and timely launches. The role will be based in our Amsterdam City location.RESPONSIBILITIES Your main focus:Lead the strategy for assigned categories, including portfolio gaps, renovations, upgrades, and new initiatives.Develop and manage a 3+ year innovation pipeline and global launch roadmap.Scout external innovation through regular engagement with key TPMs, suppliers, and industry partners.Monitor global beauty trends, emerging technologies, and competitive product launches within color categories.Identify whitespace opportunities and translate insights into actionable product concepts.Evaluate product development pathways (in-house vs. third-party manufacturing) based on cost, speed, quality, and innovation capabilities, and recommend as appropriate.Create and brief commercially driven product concepts; engage with global brand teams to drive market performance.Represent Coty at trade shows and industry events to build external partnerships.Support end-to-end execution and commercialization of new product launches, partnering with TPMs, R&D, and cross-functional teams to meet milestones and quality standards.Provide input into SKU rationalization, package design, formula and shade development, and competitive analysis.Lead trend analysis, monitoring competitive products, formulas, ingredients, claims, and shade palettes across channels.Test and evaluate new formulas and competitive launches; support shade gap analysis.Serve as the primary point of contact for innovation-related cross-functional and external collaboration.Partner with CMI on need-gap analysis and competitive evaluation using tools such as Mintel, WGSN, Revuzé, and Nielsen.QUALIFICATIONWe’d love to see candidates who have:Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (Business, Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field).7+ years of experience with cosmetic and skincare development and working with Marketing sector (beauty, prestige, specialty retail and/or e-retail preferred), Strong background in Face & Eyes.Proven experience working with third-party manufacturers and managing external partnerships.Strong understanding of the beauty industry, particularly color cosmetics and Face & Eyes products.Demonstrated ability to translate trends into successful product launches.Strategic thinker with strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.Excellent project management and organizational skills.Strong influencing and stakeholder management abilities across cross-functional teams.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Creativity and Innovation - Creativity, originality, intuition, strong color eyeLeadership and Personal - Communication, objectivity, integrity, dependability, initiative, flexibility, sensitivity, impact, tenacity, autonomy, collaboration Advanced proficiency skills in PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
