Key Responsibilities\n

  • Provide individual, group, family, and couples counseling, tailored to the specific needs of each client.

  • Conduct thorough client assessments and interviews to gather crucial information regarding their social, personal, environmental, and health-related issues.
  • \n
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address clients' unique challenges and goals.
  • \n
  • Facilitate evidence-based interventions in cognitive, emotional, and behavioral health areas, including crisis intervention strategies.

  • Build and maintain trusting, respectful relationships with clients, ensuring a safe space for open communication and growth.

  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of treatments regularly, making adjustments where necessary to optimize client outcomes.

  • Document all client interactions and treatment progress accurately in accordance with established protocols, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with regulations.

  • Maintain a manageable caseload that allows for effective client care and follow-up.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary clientele for this position includes children, adolescents, and families facing behavioral and mental health challenges. You will engage with clients experiencing a variety of issues, such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, substance abuse, and interpersonal conflicts. The goal is to provide comprehensive support that addresses not only immediate concerns but also long-term emotional well-being.

Qualifications\n

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

  • Current LCSW licensure in the state of New Jersey is mandatory.
  • \n
  • A minimum of four years of professional experience in mental health practice is expected.
  • \n
  • Demonstrable prior experience in counseling for behavioral health issues including mood disorders, substance dependencies, family dynamics, and grief counseling.

  • Experience working in a school-based or educational setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 85,000 to 104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional benefits include:
