Job Description Job Description Columbus Tire Center is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our service team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair, diagnostics, and maintenance, with experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models. The Automotive Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are maintained to the highest standards, contributing to customer satisfaction and safety. Duties Conduct comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced tools to identify vehicle issues accurately. Perform repairs and maintenance on various vehicle components including engines, suspensions, and brakes. Read and interpret automotive schematics for complex electrical or mechanical troubleshooting. Maintain detailed service records and communicate findings clearly to customers. Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Requirements Must be able to pass a background check and pre hire drug test Must be able to read, write and speak English Reliable transportation a must Valid and current drivers license 30-40 hours per week Monday-Friday (8am to 5pm) NO WEEKENDS Must supply your own tools Proven experience as an automotive mechanic with 5-10 years experience preferred. Any ASE certifications would also be a plus. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and suspension systems. Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to ensure a positive client experience. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
