About The Opportunity This is a hands-on role with variety, autonomy, and the backing of an experienced and supportive team. In the role of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Engineer, you will be responsible for: Installing, servicing, commissioning, and maintaining refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems Carrying out fault diagnosis and repairs across a variety of sites Ensuring all work complies with New Zealand regulations, codes, and industry standards Maintaining a high standard of workmanship, presentation, and professionalism Communicating clearly with clients about job progress, issues, and recommended solutions Preparing accurate quotes for repairs and replacement work in a timely manner Completing administrative tasks related to job assignments Building and maintaining long-term relationships with clients and providing leadership to junior staff About You The successful candidate will have: A relevant trade qualification in refrigeration and air conditioning or be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice Current Electrical Service Technician registration and licence Proven experience in the installation and servicing of refrigeration & HVAC systems Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations Good written and verbal communication skills A willingness to participate in on-call after-hours service work You will also have: Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail A reliable work ethic and pride in your workmanship A professional approach to client interaction The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team The willingness to support and mentor apprentices and junior team members What's in it for You?
