Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. The General Manager works with leadership to set restaurant goals and creates a plan to achieve them.

To meet restaurant goals, the General Manager leads a team of Department Managers, helping them set goals, follow up on progress, and providing coaching and direction. This leadership improves the Departments and, consequently, the restaurant.

The General Manager may also be responsible for hiring and developing Department and Shift Managers to build the right team for the future.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 for manager positions in corporate owned and operated restaurants.
• Previous General Manager experience running high‑volume locations.
• Preferred background in quick service restaurants, hospitality, or retail.
