Job Description

Important Note: No requests for time off will be granted in the first 13 weeks of the contract.

General Job Duties

The Ultrasonographer will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures. Candidates must demonstrate competence and proficiency in the following areas:

• Abdomen: Aorta, IVC, liver/biliary, pancreas, spleen, and renal; evaluating both normal anatomy and pathology.
• Gynecological (GYN): Breast, ovaries, adnexa, uterus, and pelvis; including normal and pathological assessments for post-menopausal, transvaginal, adult, and pediatric patients.
• Obstetrical (OB): First, second, and third trimester assessments, including amniocentesis, complications, biophysical profiles, gestational age, placental grading, abnormalities, IGUR, uterus/adnexa evaluations.
• Procedures: Aspirations, biopsies, drainage, and intraoperative ultrasounds.
• Neonatal: Assessing congenital anomalies and neonatal head ultrasounds.
• Superficial Structures: Evaluating abdominal wall, breast, focal masses, hematomas, scrotum & testes, and thyroid.
• Vascular: Conducting carotid duplex, segmental pressure studies, and upper and lower extremity venous and arterial duplex evaluations.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an acute hospital setting.
• One or more contracts of relevant experience.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a full-time sonographer.

Certifications and Licensure

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Obstetrics (OB), and Vascular (RVT).
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be AHA certified.

Shift Information

• 40-hour shift work with call requirements as appropriate.
• Floating to other units/departments may be necessary.

Dress Code

Personal scrubs and professional healthcare attire are required.
