Senior Mechanical Engineer – Aerospace / Defense

Locations: Palm Bay, FL | Sterling, VA | Carlsbad, CA
Job Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Salary: $88,500 – $189,000 annually, depending on position, location and experience

Temp A Veteran is recruiting experienced  Mechanical Engineers for multiple newly opened opportunities supporting advanced aerospace and defense programs.

We are seeking engineers with strong hands-on experience designing, developing, integrating and testing  complex mechanical hardware, precision mechanisms and electro-mechanical systems .

Key Qualifications

Strong candidates should have experience with several of the following:

• Mechanical system and component design
• Precision mechanisms
• Electro-mechanical systems and assemblies
• 3D CAD modeling
• Creo or similar CAD software
• GD&T / ASME Y14.5
• Engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Mechanical requirements development
• Design trade studies
• Material selection
• Prototype and hardware development
• Mechanical assembly and integration
• Hardware testing and qualification
• Root-cause troubleshooting
• PDR / CDR design reviews
• Design for manufacturability
• Full product-development lifecycle experience

Preferred Industry Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following are strongly encouraged to apply:

• Precision electro-mechanical equipment

Education

Bachelor’s degree in  Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline is preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Current opportunities offer competitive base compensation ranging approximately from:

$88,500 – $189,000

Compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, level and location.
