Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited educational program.
• Active Texas or compact Physical Therapist Assistant license required prior to start.
• Minimum 2 years of PTA experience in a clinical setting required.
• BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
• Experience working in long term care or skilled nursing facility settings preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with gait and balance training, therapeutic exercise, and documentation in an LTC setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and progress note reporting.

Assignment Details

• Shift schedule: 8 hour days, 40 hours guaranteed.

Impacting Patient Care

Under the direction and supervision of physical therapists, PTAs treat patients using exercise, massage, gait and balance training, and other therapeutic interventions. You will record patient progress and report outcomes to the supervising physical therapist. This role supports quality care for residents in a skilled nursing setting and contributes to improved mobility and functional outcomes.
