The Wilner Group has partnered with a premier NYC real estate investment and operating firm to find an experienced Property Controller . This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly respected organization with an impressive portfolio of Class A Manhattan office properties and a strong pipeline of future developments. The role offers significant visibility, working directly with senior leadership while maintaining a hands-on approach to property accounting and financial operations.

What You'll Do

Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process for a portfolio of commercial real estate assets.
Prepare and review financial statements, journal entries, reconciliations, and management reporting.
Analyze operating results, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow to support business decisions.
Partner closely with Asset Management and Property Management teams to evaluate portfolio performance.
Oversee property accounting functions, including AP/AR review, tenant billing, and bank reconciliations.
Manage lender reporting, loan compliance, treasury activities, and capital funding requests.
Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and process improvements across the portfolio.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
7+ years of accounting or property accounting experience.
Commercial real estate experience is strongly preferred.
Experience with Yardi Voyager is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and GAAP.
A collaborative professional who enjoys working both strategically and hands-on.
Someone who is detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable partnering with executives while rolling up their sleeves to get the work done.
