CERTIFIED SURGICAL TECHNICIAN FIRST ASSIST (CSTFA)- Operating Room (OR)

Responsibilities Certified Surgical Tech First Assist Opportunity- Full-Time This is a Full-Time, 40 hour a week Day shift opportunity. Wellington Regional Medical Center is located in Wellington, Florida. It is a 235-bed acute care hospital owned by a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. As a Certified Surgical Tech First Assistant (CSTFA), you will: Assist the surgeon with intraoperative procedures that are beyond the scope of practice for standard Certified Surgical Techs. Provide patient care for all ages during the perioperative phase. Provide leadership and direction to the perioperative team as needed. Function interdependently with the surgeon and apply knowledge, skill, and judgment necessary to assist the surgeon in performing a safe operation that yields optimal results for the patient. Practice teamwork by actively participating in decision-making, process improvement, and effective communication. Qualifications Job Requirements: Graduate of a surgical technology program. Graduate of an Accredited Surgical First Assisting program. Surgical Technician certification is required. First Assist certification required. 3 – 5 years of operating room experience.
