QXO is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join our LBM Division Accounting team. In this role, you will lead the accounting function for a designated region, with responsibilities including overseeing the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across multiple operating companies, leading a team dedicated to a specific region, and cultivating relationships with operations at each business. This position plays a critical role in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; reviews complex journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations; oversees intercompany accounting and margin elimination activities; and monitors close progress utilizing close management tools. This role serves as a key business partner to regional operational leadership and provides consolidated financial views, analysis, and accounting guidance to support the business. This role also drives process improvements, maintains strong internal controls, and contributes to the quality, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting.

What you'll do:

• Lead and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes for multiple entities, including monitoring close status, coordinating team activities, reviewing deliverables, and proactively addressing risks or delays.
• Review and approve balance sheet reconciliations and accounting transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely resolution of reconciling items.
• Perform financial analysis, trend analysis, and P&L fluctuation reviews, providing consolidated financial insights and recommendations to regional and corporate leadership.
• Manage intercompany accounting activities, including reconciliation of intercompany balances and preparation of margin elimination entries related to intercompany sales.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Build strong partnerships with finance and operations, serving as a trusted advisor to regional leadership.
• Collaborate with finance and operational leadership in the annual planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards; support internal and external audits as needed.
• Identify, develop, and implement process improvements, accounting policies, and procedures to enhance efficiency, standardization, and the integrity of financial reporting.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

What you'll bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
• Minimum of 7+ years of accounting experience; experience in multi-entity environments strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary.
• Must be detail oriented, have strong analytical skills and be technically minded.
• Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize tasks
• Strong research and reconciliation skills required
• Relevant industry experience considered a plus: Manufacturing/Distribution/Construction

Salary Range:

USD $120,000.00 - USD $150,000.00 /Yr.
